Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), and your display name.

Your content. The stories you create — voice recordings, their transcripts, text, and any photos you attach — plus AI-generated titles and tags derived from that content.

Contacts you add. When you invite someone to add their side of a story, we store the name you enter for them so we can label your invitations. Invitations are delivered by a code you share yourself — we do not access your device’s address book, and we do not store your contacts’ email addresses or phone numbers.

Sharing data. Records of which stories you have shared with which people, and their status.

Device & notification data. A push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you notifications you’ve enabled, and your in-app notification preferences.

Usage & diagnostic data. We collect crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) so we can find and fix bugs; these include diagnostic details about your device and the app’s state at the time of a crash, and are associated with your account ID. We also collect anonymous usage analytics (via Google Analytics for Firebase) — counts of in-app actions such as creating, sharing, or playing a story — which are not linked to your identity. Advertising identifiers are disabled on both platforms, and we do not use any of this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

We do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal information.

We share data only as needed to run the service, with providers bound to protect it:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage hosting (your account, stories, audio, and photos are stored here).
• OpenAI (Whisper API) — transcribes your voice recordings into text.
• Google (Gemini API) — generates story titles, tags, and follow-up questions from your content.
• Google Firebase — delivers push notifications (Cloud Messaging), collects crash reports (Crashlytics), and provides anonymous usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase).

We share story content with these providers only to perform the function described. We do not share your content with anyone else except the specific people you choose to share a story with.

Stories are private to you by default. A story becomes visible to another person only when you invite them to it. Anyone you invite can read and listen to that story and add their own contribution. You can revoke a share at any time.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete an individual story in the app at any time, which also removes its associated audio and photo files.

To delete your entire account and all associated data, open the app and go to Settings → Delete account — this removes your account and data immediately. You can also request deletion by emailing support@tauflife.com. Your data is removed from our live systems immediately and from encrypted backups within 30 days. Reminist is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country.

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your stories is enforced by row-level security so that only you and the people you’ve shared with can read them. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Reminist is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us. If Tauf Life Consulting, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tauflife.com.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email.
